Easy No Egg Chocolate Cake Recipe

There is nothing more comforting than a homemade chocolate cake. Here is a quick and easy chocolate cake recipe. Best thing is you don’t need eggs, milk or perishable ingredients. Since there aren’t any eggs or milk, it’s also vegan!

Easy Chocolate cake Recipe

Note: the recipe below is for a cake like in the photo (9″ round), but this is a GREAT cupcake recipe. Half the recipe and it makes around 12 cupcakes.

Ingredients:

2/3 cup cocoa

2 cup sugar

3 cup flour

2 tsp baking soda

1 tsp salt

4 tsp vanilla

1 cup vegetable oil

2 cup water

* 4 Tbsp white vinegar (set aside)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Mix dry ingredients together.
  3. Add wet ingredients into dry ingredients.
  4. Add vinegar last
  5. Bake 30-35 minutes. Note: This is the baking time for a cake, if you are making cupcakes reduce the time to 18 to 20 minutes. If you are unsure use a cake tester or toothpick inserted into the center. If it comes out clean it is baked. I also suggest rotating the pan halfway through the baking time to ensure consistent baking.
